D6.2 | Initial platform prototype | This is the first prototype of the platform which mainly involves the specified Software Development Kit and methods for communicating data between all system modules, along with the first versions of the storage repositories (T6.2). The deliverable also includes a first technical evaluation of the platform. |
D2.2 | Interaction and opinion mining in online social activities | This consists of a report on the analysis of social inputs in three levels: i) metrics and structure of social networks, ii) methods for opinion mining from user responses to multimedia content, and iii) reputation and authority ranking of users and content. |
D3.2 | Refined Semantic Middleware Components | This deliverable describes the update of the conceptual architecture and components of the SocialSensor semantic middleware (S3M) suite which has been described in its initial version in the previous deliverable D3.1 of this work package. In this document we report on the develpment of new S3M component modules as well as on the refinement of functionality of the updated S3M components and describe the use of selected S3M component modules for the implementation of mobile P2P media search and streaming. |
D4.3 | Social Media Indexing, Aggregation and Retrieval | This is the second of a three-part deliverable in social search. Here we focus on social media indexing and retrieval components, with an emphasis on multimedia approaches. The first part (D4.2) considered social indexing, context aware search and some initial work on multimedia indexing. The third part (D4.4) will be about the social indexing and search framework. |
D5.2 | Social index-aware recommendation and intelligent presentation | This deliverable extends the previous deliverable (D5.1) and discusses social index-aware recommendation and intelligent presentation. It consists of a report and prototype implementations of user-context model and model maintenance techniques (Task 5.1), methods for personalisation and recommendation that leverage the social context of a user (Task 5.2), and a methodology for intelligent presentation of recommendation and search results (Task 5.3). |
D7.2 | SocialSensor news system V1 | This document describes the initial SocialSensor news application that delivers the functionality that was specified in the previous deliverable D7.1. In this document we describe the application targeting the news professionals. Furthermore, we briefly reference the evaluation to be followed. Modifications will continue on the application throughout the whole lifetime of the project including the integration of research modules as they are mature. |

We describe the two frameworks that comprise the prototype, namely the EventLive and EventSense frameworks. The prototype application targeting cinematography events is presented, as well as the first implementation for music events. The primary objective is to present how event organizers and attendees that comprised a mixed evaluation group rated and commented the Infotainment prototype and its research-driven features, and to provide a thorough analysis of the results based on the filled-in questionnaires and conducted interviews. The deliverable also discusses a set of updated requirements and specifications with regards to the prototype and future research. |
D9.4 | Report on standardisation, dissemination and SUG activities v2 | This report will define the current status of standardization activities related to SocialSensor topic and will report on the undertaken standardization, dissemination and SUG activities. It will be updated by D9.6. |
D1.3 | Requirements and Architecture Specifications | D1.3 is an update of the requirements and architecture specifications of D1.1, following the research and development activities during the first project iteration, and the evaluation activities in the context of the two use cases. |
D4.4 | Social Indexing and Searh Framework | In this deliverable we present an updated social search framework, updates on our work on crawling social networks and multimedia sources, a discussion of context-aware search and how it has been used in the tools, updates about the multumedia indexing and retrieval work including concecpt-based search and geo-tagging, details about the new log feature of the news tool and how we are analysing them. We conclude with reflections on the place of social search within the SocialSensor project. |
D3.3 | Semantic Middleware Suite | This deliverable describes the final SocialSensor semantic middleware (S3M) suite in terms of its final conceptual architecture and the final updates of its components together with a summary of the whole software suite and links to websites for public access of the respective software. |
D2.3 | Social Stream Mining Framework | Content posted and shared through social media and the associated interactions often reflect important real-world activity. Therefore, analysis of such data presents a useful opportunity for unveiling real-world activity that may be hard to unveil using other sources of data. In this document, we present the relevant researh work carried out in the third year and we also review the relevant work carried out throughout the duration of the project. |
D5.3 | User Modelling and Presentation Framework | This deliverable extends the previous deliverables (D5.1 and D5.2) to discuss social index-aware recommendation and intelligent presentation, and summarize the overall results achieved in Work Package 5 of the SocialSensor project. The deliverable consists of a description of components developed in Year 3 of the work packages, as well as their integration into use-case work packages. |
D7.4 | SocialSensor News System v2 | This document describes the final SocialSensor news application that is an updated version of deliverable D7.2, after taking into account the evaluation report and updated requirements of deliverable D7.3. This document describes the final Infotainment system prototype. We provide the updated usage scenarios and describe the relevant updates in the two frameworks that comprise the prototype, namely the EventLive and EventSense frameworks. We also present the generalised and scalable event platform that was implemented as well as the final implementations for cinematography and music events, along with their instantiations for various events. Slight modifications will continue on the applications throughout the whole lifetime of the project, especially in terms of short development/evaluation cycles during the final evaluation phase. |

The primary objective is to present how event organizers and attendees that comprised a mixed evaluation group rated and commented the Infotainment prototype and its research-driven features, and to provide a thorough analysis of the results based on the completed questionnaires and conducted interviews. |
D9.6 | Final Dissemination Report | This deliverable gives a complete overview of dissemination material produced and activities undertaken in the last year (exhaustive list of all the papers, presentations, publications and demonstrations published or performed) within the SocialSensor project duration. It will also document the events organized and attended by all the partners and other dissemination activities related with future exploitation. |
WP1 | Final evaluation report | This report provides a summary evaluation view over the key research outcomes of the project. SocialSensor was successfully completed in October 2014 (M37), and resulted in numerous important scientific contributions, many high-quality reusable implementations of social media mining, search and indexing methods (several of which with business potential), impressive results in numerous competitive benchmarking activities, and two high-quality integrated prototypes with clear potential for commercial exploitation. This report provides a detailed account of the aforementioned contributions. |
